1. Who We Are
PersonaSoul ("we", "us", "our") is a personality assessment service available at personasoul.com. We are the data controller for your personal information.

2. What We Collect
We collect the following personal data when you use PersonaSoul:
- Email address — provided by you before viewing your results. Used to deliver your report and, if you opt in, occasional product updates.
- Personality test responses — your answers to the questionnaire (7-point scale selections). Used to calculate your personality type and generate your AI report.
- Optional personal context — free-text notes you choose to add to questions. Used to personalise your AI report. You control what you share.
- Optional gender — if you choose to provide it. Used to tailor AI report insights. Fully optional.
- Payment information — processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing.
- Usage analytics — if you accept cookies, we use PostHog to track anonymous usage patterns (pages visited, funnel progression, device type). No personally identifiable information is sent to PostHog unless you have provided your email, in which case it may be used as an identifier for analytics purposes.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To generate your personalised AI personality report
- To deliver your report via email
- To process your payment via Stripe
- To improve our product and user experience (analytics, only with your consent)
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
- Contract — processing your test responses and email to deliver the report you purchased.
- Consent — analytics cookies (PostHog) are only loaded after you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your cookies.
- Legitimate interest — basic site functionality, fraud prevention, and product improvement.

6. Data Retention
Your personality test responses and report data are stored in your browser's session storage during your visit. We do not maintain a persistent database of user responses in Phase 1.
Your email address is retained for the purpose of delivering your report and any follow-up communications you have opted into. You may request deletion at any time.
7. Your Rights
Under GDPR and applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Request erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing)
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@personasoul.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Cookies
We use a cookie consent banner. Analytics cookies (PostHog) are only set if you click "Accept". If you decline, no tracking cookies are placed. Essential cookies for site functionality may still be used.
Your cookie preference is stored in your browser's localStorage as personasoul_cookie_consent.
9. International Transfers
Your data may be processed by third-party services (Anthropic, Stripe) located in the United States. These transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the service providers' certifications under applicable data protection frameworks.

PersonaSoul is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the site. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
